Hi! My name is Berlyn and I am “mama” to two very active boys.

I always dreamed of having my own business. However, I did not know what that would look like or when it would become reality. After working in Corporate America for over ten years, I wanted to start a company I woke up every day excited to be part of. When I became a mom, my desire to start something became even more top of mind. I was tired of coming home exhausted to my kids and mentally drained. I needed a career that fueled me!

One day at lunch with my mom and seven month old, I was complaining that eating out with littles was so stressful! They always hit their mouth on the table edge, sucked on the table edge (thanks teething!) or spilled! That sparked my idea of creating a silicone placemat designed for eating out with a table edge bumper! My husband was beyond supportive and even came up with the name, The Table Tyke.

We launched October 2020! Thanks to word of mouth, social media and hard work my company continued to grow. Fast forward to January 2024, I was featured on ABC's Shark Tank where the sharks loved the product and were very complimentary of the product, it's durability and it's many use cases.

I am so thankful for this evolving journey and forever thankful to the amazing customers!
